Children's Ministries

At Stroudwater, kids are our future,
so we invest in them!

Nursery

We have well staffed nursery care available during the church service for infants up to age 3. All our staff and volunteers are background checked, trained and adore taking care of your little ones. Our Nursery is located in the Kingdom Kids’ hallway that is visible for added security and comfort We also implement a strict check-in and check-out policy to insure the safety of your children while in our care.

Kingdom Kids

Our Children’s Ministry is called “Kingdom Kids” and includes children in pre-school through the fifth grade. We are so excited to be running this wonderful program on Sunday mornings at our Cinemagic campus. The kids get to experience their own church service in their very own theater, complete with worship music videos. Kingdom Kids runs at the same time as the adult service. There is much fun to be had by everyone with crafts, activities, Bible lessons, small group time and snacks. The pre-school and Kindergarten children are divided into groups according to ability and needs. The older children remain together throughout the service and separate for small group discussion time. We conclude our service together as one big group for prayer and for check out time.
Terri Brown is our Director of Christian Education and she has a special place in her heart for all our kids.  Here are a few things she wants to make sure you know:

  • Since we know you're concerned about the safety of your children, we do background checks on all teachers and volunteers.  We have also developed a safety team that is in place every weekend.  No one is allowed to go beyond the “Safety Zone” without a pass.
  • We also implement strict check-in and check-out policies.  To insure the safety of your children while in our care, we use family photo I.D.’s for verification.
  • Empowering Kids Curriculum is currently being used throughout the Children’s Ministry program to help facilitate family discussions.  It teaches them “What they should see?”, “What‘s the key?”, “What’s that to me?” And “How should I be?” We also run an amazing VBS program during the summer. Kingdom Kids’ Volunteers believe that is not what kids are taught that matters, it is what is caught. Did they really get it?  Do they know how to apply it?
  • We are fortunate to have many nurses on our volunteer staff that helps to oversee any physical needs that may arise.  Knowing that many of our kids have allergies, we provide safe snacks and stay current with personal health information.
  • Since excellence is our goal, we want to share with you how proud we are to have the finest volunteers around.  Kingdom Kids’ volunteers, as a group, have many years of training and experience.
